BATHING

Treat your pet to a luxurious bath. Cleansing baths remove dirt, debris and pet odor so your peet will feel fresh and revitalized. Our bathing products also contain soothing agents to help eliminate itching.

BLOOD TRANSFUSION
We are able to provide whole blood transfusions or component transfusions of just plasma or red blood cells. New synthetic blood replacers such as "Oxyglobin" are also available.

BOARDING

We offer a limited boarding facility for our clients only. Because we only board a small number of dogs and cats, this allows us to care for special boarding needs such as diabetics, geriatrics, and pets on special medications.

DENTAL CARE

We use a modern and safe ultrasonic scaler to clean each tooth thoroughly. Dental technicians polish teeth and give a fluoride treatment to strengthen enamel and reduce sensitivity. Advanced dental care is available, including dental radiographs and advanced extraction techniques.

DOG TRAINING

Beechwold Veterinary Hospital maintians a 1600 square foot training facility offering a variety of canine training classes, such as puppy classes, basic obedience classes, clicker training and conformation training for show dogs.

EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE

Just like human emergencies, pet emergencies can happen anytime. At Beechwold Veterinary Hospital, our doctors are available until 11:00 pm to discuss any emergency that may arise. ENDOSCOPY

High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination of your pet's gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of diseases affecting the stomach, small intestines and colon. We also perform Rhinoscopy (nasal cavity), Cystoscopy (urinary tract and vaginal area), Bronchoscopy (lungs and trachea) and Otoscopy (external and middle ear).

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.
HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES
Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

IMMUNIZATION AND WELLNESS CARE

Our wellness programs are designed specifically for your pet and include: comprehensive physical exam; internal parasite testing; heartworm and flea prevention; vaccination and specialized wellness profiles for older pets to keep them healthy.

LASERS

We offer laser surgery as an exciting option for safe, confortable treatment. In many procedures, the laser can replace the scalpel and provide a better alternative to traditional surgery. The laser is ideal for a wide variety of surgical procedures for dogs and cats.

MICROCHIPPING
Microchips have helped reunite thousands of pets with their families. We offer the most widely used microchip products to increase the chances of a safe recovery.

NUTRITIONAL COUNSELING

Some pets require special food, and all pets benefit from a balanced diet. Our trained and certified staff is available to help you choose the right diet for your pet to keep him or her happy, healthy and active.

PAIN MANAGEMENT
Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.
RADIOLOGY
Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.
REPRODUCTIVE SERVICES
We work with a large number of breeders and are experienced with caesarean sections, ovulation timing, artificial and surgical inseminations, canine fresh chilled and frozen semen.

SURGERY

We offer the most advanced surgical techniques and technology. All patients are carefully screened for safety, and anesthetics are specifically tailored to your pet. Surgical services and facilities include: board certified surgeon available for consultation; fully trained veterinary and technical staff, to ensure the safest, most efficient, state-of-the-art procedures for your pet; heated surgery tables for greater comfort; advanced sterilization techniques; ECG and oxygen saturation monitors; intensive after surgery care and full blood testing.

SPECIALIZED SURGERY

We maintain relationships with specialists at The Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine and Columbus MedVet. We are fortunate to work closely with other specialists at our hospital for consultations and specialized surgery.

ULTRASOUND
This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs. Pregnancy exams are also available.
MED RX VETSCOPE
This fiber-optic scope allows us to use advanced treatmetns for ear diseases of dogs and cats. Generated images can be used to view the disease process before and after treatment.
